Hi Leslie! I enjoyed your video blog on branding and innovation. I agree that these are two very important topics in distance education (and in general). If I had to pick one, I would say that branding is probably the dominant topic at the moment. I believe this is due to the facts that distance education is seeing very rapid growth, and there are many schools competing for the same students now that physical location is not important. Anecdotally, my own college is rapidly increasing the advertising budget for our online course offerings. We are branding these offerings as a "Digital Campus" with a centralized online login for all of our virtual resources. Our online enrollment has been steadily climbing even in years when overall college enrollment is down. So it must be working!
